NH₄Cl	`1.0`	g
NaCl	`2.1`	g
MgCl₂·6H₂O	`0.825`	g
CaCl₂·2H₂O	`0.1`	g
KH₂PO₄	`0.5`	g
Trace element solution SL-10 (see Medium No. 433)	`1.0`	ml
Selenite-tungstate solution (see Medium No. 862)	`1.0`	ml
Yeast extract (BD-Difco)	`1.0`	g
0.1% Resazurin solution	`0.5`	ml

Mix ingredients, bring to a boil and cool down under a N₂-CO₂ (4:1, v/v) gas stream and autoclave under the same gas mixture. After cooling, aseptically and anaerobically add per liter the following solutions (filter-sterilized):

Trace vitamins (see Medium No. 197)	`10.0`	ml
8% NaHCO₃ solution	`30.0`	ml
0.5 M Taurine solution	`20.0`	ml
1 M Sodium pyruvate solution	`20.0`	ml
0.5 M Sodium L-lactate solution	`20.0`	ml
Menadione solution (see Medium No. 469)	`10.0`	ml

Prior to inoculation, aseptically and anaerobically add 0.01 volume of L-cysteine·HCl·H₂O to the medium (3% solution, autoclaved and stored under a N₂ atmosphere).
