902 MJ MEDIUM FOR MICROAEROPHILIC AUTOTROPHS

Mix components, adjust pH to 5.5 and autoclave. After cooling, add aseptically the following solutions (filter-sterilized):
| 8% NaHCO3 solution | 5.0 | ml |
| 10% Na2S2O3·5H2O solution | 15.0 | ml |
| Trace vitamins (see Medium No. 197) | 10.0 | ml |
Distribute the medium into sterile culture vessels under a N2-CO2-O2 (76:19:5, v/v) gas mixture and seal with butyl rubber stoppers. Pressurize the culture vessels to 50 kPa with the same gas mixture.
