| MgCl2·6H2O | 0.2 | g |
| NH4Cl | 0.9 | g |
| Trace mineral solution (see Medium No. 684) | 9.0 | ml |
| Trace vitamins (see Medium No. 197) | 5.0 | ml |
| 10% FeSO4·7H2O solution | 5.0 | µl |
| Tryptone (BD-Difco) | 2.0 | g |
| Yeast extract | 2.0 | g |
| Sodium citrate | 2.0 | g |
| Resazurin | 1.0 | mg |
| Distilled water | 1.0 | L |
Mix components thoroughly. Bring to a boil, cool down and distribute into culture vessels under a N2 gas stream. Seal with butyl rubber stoppers and autoclave. Prior to inoculation, add the following solution (autoclaved under a N2 atmosphere) into the medium (per liter):
