| Yeast extract | 1.0 | g |
| Sodium pyruvate | 1.1 | g |
| HEPES | 2.5 | g |
| L-Histidine | 0.04 | g |
| L-Cysteine·HCl·H2O | 0.04 | g |
| Vitamin solution (see below) | 0.5 | ml |
| Distilled water | 1.0 | L |
Mix components thoroughly and adjust pH to 7.7. After autoclaving, add the following solution (autoclaved):
| 5% KH2PO4 solution | 1.0 | ml |

| p-Aminobenzoic acid | 80.0 | mg |
| Biotin | 20.0 | mg |
