Solution A:

| NaCl | 100.0 | g |
| KCl | 4.0 | g |
| Na2SO4 | 3.0 | g |
| Sodium acetate | 1.0 | g |
| Sodium lactate | 1.0 | g |
| Yeast extract | 1.0 | g |
| Trypticase peptone (BD-BBL) | 1.0 | g |
| FeCl2 solution (see Medium No. 187) | 1.0 | ml |
| Trace element solution (see Medium No. 187) | 1.0 | ml |
| Na2SeO3·5H2O | 3.0 | µg |
| Resazurin | 1.0 | mg |
| Distilled water | 900.0 | ml |
Mix components thoroughly and adjust pH to 7.0. Autoclave under a N2 atmosphere.
Solution B:
| MgCl2·6H2O | 20.0 | g |
| CaCl2·2H2O | 2.7 | g |
| Distilled water | 100.0 | ml |
Autoclave under a N2 atmosphere.
To complete the medium, combine Solutions A and B under a N2 atmosphere. Then, add per liter the following solution from an anaerobic stock:
