671 THERMOANAEROBIUM MEDIUM
| Yeast extract | 3.0 | g |
| Tryptone (BD-Difco) | 10.0 | g |
| NH4Cl | 0.9 | g |
| NaCl | 0.9 | g |
| MgCl2·6H2O | 0.4 | g |
| KH2PO4 | 0.75 | g |
| K2HPO4 | 1.5 | g |
| Trace element solution (see below) | 9.0 | ml |
| Trace vitamins (see Medium No. 197) | 5.0 | ml |
| FeSO4·7H2O | 3.0 | mg |
| Resazurin | 1.0 | mg |
| Distilled water | 950.0 | ml |
Mix ingredients and adjust pH to 7.0. Distribute the medium into culture vessels under a N2 atmosphere, seal with butyl rubber stoppers and autoclave. Separately autoclave the following solutions under a N2 atmosphere and add to the medium (per 950 ml):

Readjust pH of the medium to 7.2 - 7.4 with sterile NaOH, if necessary.

| CoCl2·6H2O | 0.17 | g |
| CaCl2·2H2O | 0.1 | g |

| Na2MoO4·2H2O | 0.01 | g |
| NiCl2·6H2O | 0.026 | g |
| NaCl | 1.0 | g |

| Distilled water | 1.0 | L |
Dissolve nitrilotriacetic acid first in 200 ml of distilled water, and adjust pH 6.5 with KOH. Then add the remaining salts and adjust volume to 1000 ml.
