| Yeast extract | 2.0 | g |
| Peptone | 10.0 | g |
| L-Cysteine·HCl·H2O | 0.5 | g |
| Distilled water | 1.0 | L |
Mix ingredients and adjust pH to 7.0. Distribute into tubes (e.g., 5 ml of the medium in the Hungate tubes) under a N2 atmosphere, seal with butyl rubber stoppers and autoclave.
