Dissolve components except Na2CO3, NaHCO3 and Na2S·9H2O in 700 ml distilled water and autoclave under a N2 atmosphere in a bottle capped with a butyl rubber stopper. Separately dissolve Na2CO3 and NaHCO3 in 300 ml distilled water, filter-sterilize, and add to the medium aseptically and anaerobically. Adjust pH to 9.0 - 9.5, if necessary. Prior to inoculation, reduce the medium by the addition of a 5% Na2S·9H2O solution autoclaved under a N2 atmosphere.
