405 MODIFIED HNW MEDIUM

Use Medium No. 344. Prior to inoculation, add per liter the following solution (freshly prepared and filter-sterilized):

0.1% Sodium dithionite solution 25.0 ml

Pressurize inoculated bottles to 200 kPa H₂-CO₂ (4:1, v/v).
