CaCl₂·2H₂O	`0.33`	g
MgCl₂·6H₂O	`0.33`	g
NaCl	`10.0`	g
Trace element solution (see Medium No. 1030)	`1.0`	ml
Distilled water	`945.0`	ml

Mix components thoroughly and autoclave the medium under a N₂ atmosphere. Aseptically and anaerobically add the following solutions:

8% NaHCO₃ solution	`25.0`	ml
Trace vitamin (see Medium No. 197)	`1.0`	ml
Substrate solution (see below)	`20.0`	ml
5% Na₂S·9H₂O solution	`10.0`	ml

Adjust pH to 8.0, if necessary.
Substrate solution (autoclaved and stored under a N₂ atmosphere):
For JCM 39202,

1.0 M MgSO₄ solution	`10.0`	ml
1.0 M Sodium fumarate solution	`10.0`	ml

For JCM 39238,

2.5% N-Acetyl-D-glucosamine solution 20.0 ml
