Mix components and autoclave. After cooling, aseptically and anaerobically add per liter the following solutions (autoclaved or *filter-sterilized):

10 mM Na₂HPO₄ solution	`100.0`	µl
SL-7 trace element solution (see Medium No. 536)	`100.0`	µl
Vitamin solution* (see below)	`420.0`	µl
300 mM Na₂S₂O₃ solution	`10.0`	ml
500 mM MnO₂ solution	`10.0`	ml

Adjust pH to 7.5 by bubbling with a N₂-CO₂ (4:1, v/v) gas mixture.
