Peptone | 5.0 | g |
Yeast extract | 10.0 | g |
NaCl | 8.0 | g |
Salt solution (see Medium No. 676) | 40.0 | ml |
Resazurin | 0.5 | mg |
Distilled water | 960.0 | ml |
Mix components thoroughly, bring to a boil and cool down under a stream of N2. While gassing, add the following solutions and adjust pH to 7.0:
5% L-Cysteine·HCl·H2O solution | 10.0 | ml |
Distribute the medium into culture vessels (e.g., 10 ml in Balch type tubes) under N2, seal with butyl rubber stoppers and autoclave. After cooling, add per liter the following solutions (autoclaved and stored under a N2 atmosphere):
1 M Glucose solution | 6.0 | ml |
1 M Na2S2O3 solution | 10.0 | ml |
