Unless otherwise stated, sterilize media by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 min.
1199 MINERAL MEDIUM (BRUNNER) SUPPLEMENTED WITH TOLUENE

| MgSO4·7H2O | 0.20 | g |
| CaCl2·2H2O | 0.05 | g |
| SL-4 trace element solution (see Medium No. 340) | 10.0 | ml |
| Agar | 15.0 | g |
| Distilled water | 900.0 | ml |
Adjust pH to 6.9. After autoclaving, aseptically add the phosphates solution to the medium. After inoculation, put several drops of toluene inside of lid of petri dishes.
