KH₂PO₄	`0.33`	g
KCl	`0.33`	g
CaCl₂·2H₂O	`0.33`	g
MgCl₂·6H₂O	`0.33`	g
FeCl₂ solution (see Medium No. 187)	`1.0`	ml
Trace element solution (see Medium No. 187)	`1.0`	ml
Yeast extract	`1.0`	g
Resazurin	`1.0`	mg
Distilled water	`1.0`	L

Mix components thoroughly, adjust pH to 7.0 and autoclave under a N₂ atmosphere. After cooling, aseptically and anaerobically add per liter the following sterile solutions from anaerobic stocks (autoclaved and stored under a N₂ atmosphere or *filter-sterilized and stored under 80% N₂ and 20% CO2 gas mixture):

20% (w/v) sucrose solution	`10.0`	ml
8% NaHCO₃ solution*	`18.3`	ml

Dispense the medium into culture vessels under a N₂ atmosphere and seal with butyl rubber stoppers. Finally, add per litter the following solutions (autoclaved and stored under a N₂ atmosphere):

5% L-Cysteine·HCl·H₂O solution	`6.0`	ml
5% Na₂S·9H₂O solution	`6.0`	ml
