Unless otherwise stated, sterilize media by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 min.

1036 EGGC LIQUID MEDIUM

Adjust pH to 7.0 - 7.2. Autoclave at 115C for 20 min. Separately sterilize Solution B by filtration and add to the medium aseptically.
Solution A:

0.5 M Na₂HPO₄-NaH₂PO₄ buffer (pH 7.3)	`2.0`	ml
Vitamins mix solution (see Medium No. 296)	`5.0`	ml
FeCl₃ solution (see below)	`1.0`	ml

Mix and filter-sterilize just before addition to the medium.
FeCl₃ solution:

FeCl₃·6H₂O	`0.15`	g
Distilled water	`300.0`	ml

Prepare just before use.
