1024 THERMUS 162 MEDIUM
| Yeast extract (BD-Difco) | 1.0 | g |
| Tryptone (BD-Difco) | 1.0 | g |
| Nitrilotriacetic acid | 0.1 | g |
| CaSO4·2H2O | 0.04 | g |
| MgCl2·6H2O | 0.2 | g |
| 0.01 M Iron(III) citrate solution | 0.5 | ml |
| Nitsch's trace elements (see Medium No. 273) | 0.5 | ml |
| Distilled water | 900.0 | ml |
Adjust pH to 7.2 with NaOH. For preparation of solid medium, add 28.0 g/L agar. After autoclaving, add the following solution to the medium:
| Phosphate solution (see below) | 100.0 | ml |
Phosphate solution:
| KH2PO4 | 5.44 | g |
| Na2HPO4·12H2O | 43.0 | g |
| Distilled water | 1.0 | L |
Adjust pH to 7.2.
