Unless otherwise stated, sterilize media by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 min.

30 POTATO-DEXTROSE AGAR

Potato, peeled and cut	`200.0`	g
Glucose	`10.0`	g
Agar	`15.0`	g
Distilled water	`1.0`	L

Boil potatoes for 20 min. Strain off the pieces of potatoes through a fine sieve. Add glucose and agar, and boil until dissolved. Do not use new potatoes.
Adjust pH to 5.4-5.6.
Comment: Commercial Potato dextrose agar (BD-Difco or Oxoid) is also available.
