Tris base	`3.0`	g
Distilled water	`800.0`	ml

Mix components thoroughly, adjust pH to 9.5 with NaOH and autoclave under a N₂-CO₂ (4:1, v/v) gas mixture. After cooling, add aseptically and anaerobically the following solutions (autoclaved and stored under N₂):

8% Na₂CO₃ solution	`200.0`	ml
5% Na₂S·9H₂O solution	`8.0`	ml
